People often ask us about the secret to our success. It’s no secret. You see it at the restaurant every day. We all love what we do. We love giving our guests pleasure and we take great pride in it.
At Drago’s, we are a team all committed to the same goal. It’s the goal that Drago and Klara Cvitanovich had when they opened the restaurant in 1969. They set out to offer delicious seafood and a good time to guests for a reasonable price. At that time, they couldn’t even imagine how many guests that would become.
Not much has changed at Drago’s, except the number of visitors.
It’s still a family atmosphere and Klara is still at the
front to greet her guests. Tommy Cvitanovich, Drago
and Klara’s son, is there to see that things run smoothly.
And now Tommy’s daughter helps her grandmother at the front
if she doesn’t have too much homework. At 85, Drago doesn’t
pick up the oysters himself anymore, but you can still see him
at the restaurant most nights—except when he’s on duty
as Grandpa.
Our family has grown a lot since the early days. It would be impossible to do what we do without our very hard-working and loyal staff. Drago’s now has more than 300 employees who help us give our guests delicious seafood and a good time at a reasonable price. And we have a great time doing it.
Thanks to you all for making our restaurant the great success that it is.
